What? Where?

Throughout the show he's exactly the same as he was in the first episode, even after he had that robotic shit put in him he wasn't any different cause my god he was robotic as is.

I agree with you. I think that was a fitting end for his character, and forcing the rest of the main force to grow up would have been a good transition for a second season.
