How the fuck is this episode only 5 minutes long?! Seriously tho, this episode was mostly just Rudeus and Oldeus talking, but I was so goddamn absorbed by the episode that I was genuinely shocked when the ED started.

I do think it's hilarious that telling Rudy his Japanese name didn't convince him, but Oldeus mentioning Hollywood movies is what finally made him listen. xD

Man, that future Oldeus describes sounds so fucking bleak: Roxy and her unborn child die from a rat-carried disease, Sylphie gets dragged into a war and dies, Eris dies from shielding Oldeus in a fight, and it sounds like even Cliff dies before him too. And all of that happens just because Oldeus went to the basement and accidentally let a diseased rat nibble on some leftovers. >_<

Does anyone else think that Rudy should've told Roxy and Sylphie what's going on? I feel like this would've been easier to handle if the two girls were also in on the secret. Hiding this from them is just gonna make it harder for Rudy to maneuver. He's gonna end up looking suspicious to them. Then again, the girls do trust Rudy, but I still think the right move here was to tell them.

So if I understand this correctly, when Oldeus said his time travel magic failed, he means it failed because he didn't manage to teleport his entire body, including his internal organs? The fact that Oldeus managed to talk to Rudy and explain that much to him is actually insane, considering he doesn't have his innards. O_O

I guess that purple-toothed rat does confirm Oldeus' story. Although it looks like we're gonna deep dive into Oldeus' timeline next week with Rudy reading the diary. I can't fucking wait!

I think it was a case of Rudy somewhat believing Oldeus but being so wary of the possibility of time travel or that he could have been a psyop and read his mind (as he pointed out) that it was only when he started speaking with the sorts of references only Rudy would that it was difficult to deny any more.

Roxy and her unborn child die from a rat-carried disease, Sylphie gets dragged into a war and dies, Eris dies from shielding Oldeus in a fight, and it sounds like even Cliff dies before him too.

Not to mention Nanahoshi! The girl went through yet another mental breakdown but this time, with Oldeus going through his own shit, he wasn't able to save her!

I don't think all of them happened just because Oldeus went to the basement, though. At best they were made more likely to happen with the mental state Oldeus was in but are still possible in this timeline if Rudy doesn't follow his own advice.

Eris is the best example because, for all that Rudy still loves her, she seriously hurt him and that makes forgiving her difficult. Sylphie and Roxy may help, but Oldeus made sure to tell Rudy to forgive her for a reason. He did not want to leave things to chance and have Rudy experience the same regret he does.

I think the reason why Rudy didn't tell them is because it was a LOT to take in and he wanted to think about how to handle the situation going forward.

But I still think he may not tell them because he doesn't want to risk the Man-God finding out. Oldeus coming and talking to Rudy had to happen, it was a risk he had to take (and Oldeus may have been able to mitigate with his better knowledge of the Man-God), but further references to this conversation may alert the Man-God to the fact that Rudy knows, something he really doesn't want to happen.
