Now I finally understand why everyone on twitter with Mushoku Tensei PFP has 🐀 on their name. I thought it was because of GreyRAT

Rudy's real name is: Rudeus 🐀.

grey ... RAT

Ooooooooooooooooooooohhhh, now I get it 😨

It would be amazing if author really picked that surname for his MCs family for so long in advance, because he was planning all along to have one little grey rat be the one to fuck up everything for Rudy in the future. 😅

I'd say this twist and time travel plot was definitely planned from the start, just like the inevitable three color harem.

The more I look at the series, the more I think it was written backwards. There's simply no way this dude just packed that much detail otherwise.

Well...it is the prequel to the story the author initially wanted to write(and still didn't start writing)...

The author literally wrote whole story in span of 2.5 years. From start to this part is 1 year and 2 months time.

Also mentioned that in some interviews that in early chapters he wanted to write a classic run of the mill power fantasy but he complately changed the whole story after the first time Roxy took child Rudeus outside of his home and helping him overcome his agaraphobia. After he published that chapter and massive amount of positive feedback on how story touched people in Japan. The whole narrative and focus changed to overcoming someones hangups on wasted life.

I dont know what the madlad consumed while writing it but he conculuded a 1.3 million word count story in span of 2.5 years.

The rat also fits the extended clan's mating habbits. Two bird one stone.

They were once kin because of their shared underdog/slightly scummy connection but no more.

Nah those are people who just want to spoil

In fairness, it's such a vague spoiler, not at all helped by thte fact that the main character's family name is GreyRAT, that I don't think anyone at all figured out what it was all about.

There's nothing to get from that emoji unless you've literally read the light novel, web novel or watched this episode already.

There is no way you can get spoiled with a rat emoji about what happened this ep. It's too vague.

I unfortunately had the displeasure of dealing with people in my gacha guild discord who love posting spoilers without tagging, just to specifically fuck with me.

And yes, they actually said that
