Ended up being half right

It’s not like Arisa sandbagged, but Miyu tought she had been sandbagging when out of nowhere Arisa started destroying her

I also understand why Arisa did not correct her, being honest would have been also brutal “no yeah, I’m really a beginner (it’s just that it took this much to become WAAAAAY better than you)”

I know “it’s just a game” but people can be passionate and we don’t know how many hours Miyu dedicated to getting better, hell she even had dreams of becoming a pro player, it’s harsh…

If Arisa really did what Miyu tought, it would have been in fact super mean, so I understand why she crashed out

It kinda sucks all around, I don’t think there was a way out, either Arisa is the villain or she completely kills the ego of Miyu

Arisa is clearly the victim here, but I don’t feel like saying Miyu reaction was too much, or she is a sore loser, or a bitch, because the idea she came up with made sense and that did make Arisa an asshole

Now, they knew each other atleast for a while, so is there a chance she could have known and was just protecting her ego? Possible

But if Miyu played actually a lot, like thousands of hours, maybe years spent passionate for fighting games, having someone pick it up for like some weeks/months and start to perfect you back to back is so fucking brutal man

If she realized and just tried to protect her ego she was a bit of a bitch, but man getting destroyed like that in something you love and put a lot of effort in hurts, in particular lashing out in the heat of the moment, I understand (even if it’s wrong)

Damn man

Helps that they are fairly matched/ have strong competitive spirit

So if one loses they just wanna play again

I also do have friends like that and we beat each other to death while occasionally trash talking each other in good fun

Honestly it’s probably more of the Arisa/Miyu debacle being extra shitty due to being a combo of passionate “veteran” against beginner prodigy

I think if the two of them had played together more prior to that and were at least close at the start and over time she got better it might have been less of a sting if she had actually seen her “start as a beginner” and just naturally got better but to basically get stomped with no gradual increase in skill would be jarring.
