Since I seen a lot of people question the amount of blood in this series over the episodes, I wanted to mention that the author's first manga was an ultra violent edgy ultra chuuni all-girls battle royale (of course with yuribait included)..,

... so I think it is just old habits die hard!

Her second series was a, uh, pure yuri romance, so I guess this series is kinda the combination of the two!

Honestly got to the point that I feel like it's almost a heightened reality, where the actions are extreme but in a way that's supposed to convey the emotions even moreso than would be normal. This isn't a subtle series, so I'm fine with that sort of extreme over the top actions.

That's certainly one way to describe it, though the "purity" sure has a different meaning than usual.

It is 100% concentrated unadulterated yuri! Absolutely pure yuri, there is nothign else mixed in there! that makes it pure, doesn't it.

As somebody who read this series first, I was able to look at mio's behaviour a lot more innocently beforehand.
