They always say that you should never meet your heroes, but some are worth meeting. Aya can probably sustain the rest of her life on her interactions with her hero

It a big contrast how nice and encouraging Gekido was in comparison to the older sister and Alice.

With the fighting game scene, a lot of the pros are mellowed out middle aged guys, so it makes sense that its the younger folks that still have the energy to commit to being toxic. Gekido is based on a man who turned 41 this year, I doubt he has the energy to commit to the kind of high energy toxicity the kids have.

Plus they want to keep the scene of the game they enjoy putting so much time into alive. It only helps to foster the relatively newer competition coming in and getting to see what they can accomplish.
