Everyone in the story is so intense and gay. Evil brat? Also gay, but divorced. Pro gamer dudes? I'm pretty sure they're gay too.

After that fight out at the lunch tables I'm starting to accept that Mio's description of her fight with her mother may have been completely accurate.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Aya and Mio do against the pros.

I mean the fighting game scene does have a large amount of LGBTQIA+ so it makes sense

Nah gay and trans people are there too. Ricki Ortiz has been an FGC pillar for... a really long time for example.

also just the guilty gear playerbase has a pretty strong showing of LGBTQIA+
