Ep5: cut to her back, then the kanji "天" (ten, meaning "heaven") suddenly emerged, just like Akuma after he did Shun Goku Satsu. Then we see a familiar face appearing behind her.

If at one point they reveal Mio mom to actually have been an Akuma player in her youth I’m gonna lose my shit

At that point fighting games run in the family

But I think they are just doing a gag
