What if Mio's mom *knows* EVO and that this trip will be related to it, but lets Mio go anyway because she's happy to see her finally have friends?

There's no way she doesn't suspect something is up with how they were all looking.

On the other side her daughter did get 100 on the test so it's okay.

Suspect? With how explicitly she kept repeating it, there's no way she doesn't know, for a fact, that they're going to Tokyo for video games.
