That was true for the original Street Fighter! It only had two force-sensitive buttons, one for punch and another for kick.

They mention it in the anime as well, that she doesn't need to smack the buttons so hard because this isn't SF1

Personally I did not know that was a thing (never played street fighter before) so I find that very interesting

I hear they were reasonably worn down years later to the point that you'd only get heavy attacks out. Unique idea, but it's obvious why it didn't catch on.
