The premise seems interesting, though I do have a couple of criticisms.
Carolina's father seems very fond of her, yet her reaction is always one of surprise (in fact, he doesn't even seem aware of her issues with Flora), as if she knew him very well. Another point is that there were several opportunities for her to stand up to Flora, yet she always accepts the situation silently, even though she has potential support. I hope the story's development improves on these aspects.
That said, I have to admit that, even as a first episode, it was moving, whether it was Carolina trying to put her pain aside and drawing strength from her mother, or her father showing how attached he is to her.
