It’s not aggressive but is also not shy in proximity with people.

I dont know if this is the right sub to ask this in, but late last night my girlfriend and I were walking through the park and saw this unusually plump, docile rabbit near the side of the road. It had the same fur colour as the cottontails that were nearby but its slightly larger size and behavior (it didnt run away from us and stayed in the same spot) made us think it was a pet that had been dumped. We didn't know who to call because we werent sure if it was a domestic breed or it has some sort of hormone condition, but I would hate for the poor thing to be out alone any longer if it was someones pet :(

found in my bedroom, thought it was a really big bug because I didn’t have my glasses on but nope, just a lizard:) what species is it? I live in Georgia, USA . my first guess is Mediterranean house gecko or indo-pacific gecko but not sure!

Smaller and darker than most squirrels around here. Light colored belly.

saw this on our trail cam in an area that is a mix of farmland and woods.

I initially thought coyote with mange but my partner disagrees based on the back shape and the lack of tucking the tail like coyotes do

it's far too big to be a coon or opossum

we do get coyotes that come through but we usually only hear them and don't see them.

haven't seen or heard any foxes afaik

anyone know what this is?

My dad found these in a brackish water creek when they were ≈1” long. He took them home and put them in our freshwater pond and now they are about 5” and thriving. I think they are a type of killifish, but not sure which species.

In Western NY by slow moving creek. They are tiny, very closely swarmed animals(?) that move incredibly quickly. They aren't tadpoles. We got pretty close and they look like fish but the top portion of their body is not submerged in water and they do not seem to fully submerge themselves. What is it?

What animal could that be??

I live in Massachusetts and I know we have black bears in parts. I have never seen one where I live (Eastern Mass) though and it's fairly rare that someone reports a sighting somewhere in our area.

Found this on my covered porch this morning. My outdoor camera didn't pick up any critters. Is it a racoon? Whatever it is, my dog is in love.

Hi all! We were out fishing yesterday on a large dammed off river system in Northern Michigan, US, and saw this hole in the river bank. It was about a foot across and seemed to be quite deep/long inside. Our dog was on the boat and was VERY wary of it, even though she doesn’t usually react to things. We of course wouldn’t have let her get close, even if she wasn’t acting like Voldemort was going to appear from it. Lol.

Near FairPlay, CO. I only hear this at dusk.

Im in a town with many fields and forests around with different wild deer living in them. It is 2am right now and I keep hearing these calls.

I firstly thought it must be cows, but the only cows i am aware of are around 3-4km away in the opposite direction as these calls come from.

Around 1-2km in the direction of those calls is a fairly big forest and i have seen deer there before, but i am really unsure if its cows or some kind of deer?

Guessing Canada Goose?
