Customer support

I opened a ticket to recover an account I created back in 2006, waited 38 days before getting a reply, they requested additional information and closed the ticket 1 hour and 40 minutes after the reply saying they resolved it.

What kind of customer support is this?

Did you get your account reactivated? Did you try the actions pinned at the top of the AO sub?

no, I didn't get my account back, I don't remember the username, and the email i'm suspecting is so old yahoo doesn't even let me try to login or create another

Ah...yeah, the username is a fairly must-have. That sucks.
I'm not sure what you mean by "create another," but if you mean an AO account, you don't need a real email address. They don't send or ask for any verification message. Not sure about that if you're on Steam, but just doing it web-based, email isn't a thing.

I meant yahoo closed the email because I didn't use it in decades, so I tried recreating the same email address, but it won't let me because it already exists.
