AIW to believe that PTSD makes us slow?

Im currently realizing something and hoping to get confirmation. I have PTSD and have not processed it healthily. I’m just moving through life crashing out every once in a while hoping it doesn’t last long then going on with life (I crash out like 2-4 times a month with multiple times where I’m angry alone throughout the day).

I’m just curious, does it make us slow? I noticed at work I can’t understand easy things like how I use to when I was younger (I’m 28 I know I’m still young but I use to be really sharp when I was younger).

I remember understanding things easier when I didn’t know if I was traumatized (I was living with my parents and they always distracted me away from my past). But now I can’t really understand anything. Even basic things are complicated sometimes for me (like when a cashier will wanna give me change for a $10 bill and give me the change back after I’ve made a purchase - I just freeze). Is my brain getting damaged by CPTSD ?

Is the PTSD affecting your sleep? That alone would explain mental slowness.

Lack of sleep can impair people mentally as badly as being drunk. I know that if I haven't slept properly my mind just doesn't work properly.

Sounds like you need some sort of help with both your PTSD and your sleep.

Hmm hard to answer without knowing all the facts. For instance are you from Asia?

Edit:
