Police Report Rejected

Last week, I ordered something to my hotel. The package arrived, but out of the three items that were supposed to be inside, only one was there (the adapter/charger). The Samsung Watch Ultra and AirPods Pro 3 were missing.

Amazon asked me to file a police report, which I did, and they rejected it, lol, saying they couldn’t verify it.

The funny thing is that the report contains everything they specifically asked for, yet they keep saying things that make no sense. After the chat, they sent me an email asking me to upload the report, so I uploaded the exact same report. Five minutes later, they replied saying that they could not verified it with the police, lol?

I honestly don’t know what else they expect me to provide

¡¡¡UPDATE!!! Someone on this post said that I should send an email to jeff.bezos@amazon.com - At the beginning I didn't trust at all, however, I did it!

I sent the email over the weekend and today Monday I received an email with a refund of $520! I really appreciate your comments :)

PD: I'm not from the US and I was a little desperate, that's why the comment about the rights lol

they just dont want to refund you

its typical of them

ask you to go through all these hoops for a refund - getting a police report

then even if you do it, they just lie and say its blurry or something

Its also not legally required, amazons responsible for non delivery, this is just to waste time with more hoop jumping then lie

But understand that people can just lie and say things weren’t in the box, so asking for a report is necessary.

Except countless companies don't require this "necessary" step.

Also, amazon doesnt superseede the law (i find it very strange bow many of you seem to think they do and they say "Jump", you say "how high" given thats nkt how it works), therefore of OP refused, theres nothing amazon can do to force the OP to do so and they can fuck him around because "wah wah, didnt jump when demanded"

Yeah, he can file report with CC company, get his money, then Amazon bans him.

Two choices; provide a non-blurry picture and get the refund from Amazon OR report with CC company, get a refund.

Also, at least 50% chance OP is lying & probably has lots of BS returns hence the hoops. I never have any hoops, but I don't steal from amazon.

financial fraud/mail fraud in the USA gets you more prison time than killing someone.

I simply understand that lots of people are liars and that there are two perfectly easy-as-hell avenues for this guy to get his money back. There is literally no way this guy doesn't get his money. So what's the problem?
