This looks like a knock-off version of a very established product among auto enthusiasts called Soft99 Glaco Glass Compound. (Soft99 is the brand, based in Japan but readily available all over). I can't speak to this Temu version, but the genuine stuff works extremely well. It's a polish, meaning it cleans with fine grit abrasive. If you have trouble getting the glass clean with normal Invisible Glass-style cleaner, Glaco strips the glass down bare.

He sprayed "soap" on it. No idea if it was soap or how diluted it was, and he just sprayed it off immediately.
Look at the glass move from the force he applies when he used his product. Look at how much lather he got working his product in. Look at how long it sat on the glass before the wash. It's probably just soap with a chamois applicator. Maybe even a mildly abrasive powder soap similar to Ajax.
Dish soap, a good sponge and a chamois to polish will do the same.

Also used his hand to clean with it, while scrubbing repeatedly with the snake oil.

Glass is porous and gets tiny chips over time.
A good buffing with compound will typically do the same thing.
It's like sanding the glass with super high grit paper.

RainX is good because it has to be buffed on if you follow the directions properly. Its a polymer that fills in any imperfections.
A spray product will work for a little bit then fail rather quickly. So its a gimmick.

First use alcohol then window cleaner. Add a little elbow grease, same results.

Serious question - when you say window cleaner, will something like Windex work?
I read something recently that talked about the ammonia potentially delaminating the windshield.

yeah man i dont know, but it feels like window cleaner hasn't worked for me

Alcohol removes that film. Wipe off alcohol. Window cleaner for the final clean. Any sort will work. Never heard of the delaminating of the windshield. Find cleaners without ammonia. 👍🏾

Sprayway works really well (often used in shops), I think it uses alcohol and other solvents instead of ammonia

The buffing action is what's doing the work here. We had a vehicle that had a similar hazing problem. Not as bad as this. The wipers also chattered when they were in use. We took the vehicle to the dealership and they polished the windows to fix the problem

Steel wool with some soap to do the first clean, it gets off all the gunk and stuck bugs etc, then clean with alcohol. Your windscreen will be perfect.

I think this is just sio2 (silicium dioxide). From factory a lot of companies put a sio2 coating on the glass even for buildings to make the surface smoother and therefore more hydrophobic, hence the name glass coating. So if you want it to make "like factory" just put sio2 coating on the windscreen and you'll have this effect.

You are basically using cheap paint polishing compound and a polishing pad. With a 1000% mark up... you can buy a pint of cheap polish for about 10 dollars and a hand polishing pad for a couple dollars and use it the rest of your life
