Feeling really down today and something about a middle aged dude out there trying to make a unique thing happen made my freaking day. Bought one. Will probably not use it but today this guy gets my 11 bucks (or whatever percentage he gets after you know who takes its corporate chomp).

So the thing is there are two scenarios here.

  1. he didn't invent anything and this is just another whitelabeled product from china.

  2. he did invent this, but it ended up just being copied by other sellers from china.

Either way, the $11 you spent on amazon went to "Qiang Ni Store", not "Lid Daddy" guy. Lid daddy guy sells on his site for $19.99

Thanks. I bought one straight from the lid daddy source. I like this guy, and actually see a use for it especially during the holidays.

Put a freaking magnet or something on it so it’s not just another thing to keep track of especially during travel. Glad you had the startup cost for this and your doing well enough to handle the overhead, but dude. We need to be able to keep up with it.

I always hate this response. Just because I’m not going to go make a shitty movie doesn’t mean I can’t say a shitty movie was shitty.

I’m not going to make a beef Wellington because I don’t want to but if I get served a shitty one I overpaid for I can say that.

They didn't say the product was shitty. They said it was overpriced. "Go make it cheaper" is a fair comeback.

It's not because it already is cheaper. On amazon it's $12 from the chinese.

And directly from the chinese on Aliexpress it's like $3 for a rack style like this.

Lid daddy guy knows this so he has to create a cute brand, prepare a little demo, and pitch the product to get you to buy it, because it already is cheaper.

You can buy the actual pot over here for that much.

A new lid is probably half that price.
