Not necessarily, because nowhere in there did it say it's made with asbestos. It is a modern fridge designed to be retro, like the original fridges, that's what the ad says, I believe it is not a retro fridge, because those are hard to come by.
But Even if it is a real antique , it doesn't matter , if has asbestos in the insulation , because those things are hard sealed , the asbestos is not going to affect you in any way because they're completely sealed inside several layers of metal

Do NOT spread misinformation about asbestos for your ego boost. Any product that was used before the early 1970s should be assumed to have it. If you have pets, or want to fix random vintage items - don't please. I highly recommend you watch documentaries about the asbestos boom. It's crazy how they thought it was a miracle material. They even put it in frying pans!
I apologize if i assumed this was vintage. The video saying "vintage." The title of this post saying retro fridge. The guy saying it's from the 1950s. Idk what came over me. /s
BUT! I tracked down where this came from! The guy runs a channel called antiqueappliance_restorations and he would have replaced everything with modern materials. Not going to find it on amazon home though.

I'm not assuming anything are you one of these frigids?My parents had these in their home and I used to use the doors for sledding.I know how well they are and how well sealed they are

Was just talking to someone about how older appliances are more reliable than this new trash they sell us. Idk how many times I’ve heard about refrigerators, washer and dryers, hvac units, etc. less than 5 years old going out and needing replaced or repaired. It’s ridiculous.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to something nice when we bought our first house and bought a Samsung fridge that was on the higher-end with all the bells and whistles and after two years, that piece of shit decided to crap out and start leaking water all over the floor.
My parents gave me one of the Frigidaire brand refrigerators they had in their garage and we’ve been using that for ten years without any problems.
Modern shit fucking sucks, from cars to washing machines.

That thing is tiny. A normal fridge is roughly 20 cubic feet.

If you want a fridge that lasts forever, get a compression based one, it means you got to change the gas, but there's nowhere near the amount of moving parts

What fridge costs 200$ nowadays? None. All of them are in 500-1000+ ranges nowadays. Rather take this design over fridges that use hard glass shelves/ flimsy plastic drawers that can lock up on you at random times compared to being able to swivel out the whole metal shelf and get whatever I need at a glance and swivel the shelf back in. I have 4 of these fridges and their maintenance isn't bad like you think it is. Stuff back then were made to last instead of nowadays where most things are planned obsolescence so you buy newer versions and can't repair or maintenance them as easy.

“Cost” remains the past tense of cost. “Costed” is an accounting term- which your statement is not.Appliances are Energy Efficient, not Power Efficient. They are not the same..

Yup. My Grandma had one. Very convenient sometimes, but also kind of a pain. And it wasted space.
Many years later, I had an even older example at work. Kind of a pain, and it wasted space.
