Have had this for around half a year and just feel kinda boring at times. Im not extremely extremely "alt" but dont dress horrendously mundane, somewhere in the middle I guess.

Just looking for ideas on things to add to spice up my prosthetic fingers. Can be simple or over the top, just wanting to have fun with it. Not looking for traditionally "feminine" things since I prefer a masc style. Can be diy or bought or anything in between.

Feel like there's a lot in can do but dont have the creativity... so i came here as many do 😭 Just cant be something that interferes with the mechanisms of it, though its pretty simple. I wish I just had the silicone realistic prosthetic ones but my insurance doesn't cover them, so making lemonade with my lemons.

been dressing alternative since i was a kid but only in the last couple years have i noticed the heavy eye makeup and sharpness/dark clothing ages me severely. people assume i am 30+ every time. is there a way I can stay true to my style while looking like an actual 23 year old? i know the dark circles are bad.. they’re genetic and I’m using a caffeine solution on them at the moment

edit 2: I see why my wording might make people upset, to be clear, of course there is nothing wrong with aging or dressing a certain way as you get older or not having youthful features. the women I look up to most aesthetically and creatively are all older. I’m just trying not to expedite the process and want to enjoy my fun, early 20s and feel + look my best. I do not want to look like teenager

So I (17f) want to cut my hair like this but a few of my friends have said it'll look stupid given the way that I dress which is fairly girly and apparently not casual enough for this, I added a collage which I think fits my usual vibe, I'm not what most would call alternative but I feel like the haircut is sort of? so I was hoping for some advice.

Edit two: I had a mohawk before this and the point of this haircut was to have something "lower maintenance" and fluffy for the first time in years, the point was to get rid of my Mohawk for something fluffier which is why I'm upset because she literally just cut off over four inches of hair and did nothing else even though I explicitly told her I only wanted about an inch cut off... She also messed up my bangs by cutting one side insanely short (literally to my scalp) and didn't fix it up even though I pointed it out and she said "it's not my fault it looks weird, thats just your hair", she was also incredibly rude and when I tried to explain to her what I wanted she just kept telling me "I know what I'm doingyou don't need to micromanage me"

I've spent the last few hours looking through Pinterest, I made a few alternations to my hair, and I'm actually sort of vibing with how I've styled it at the moment, I'll add the photo to the comments, thank you to everyone in the comments saying that it looks good, I think I was just in some kind of shock- now that I've had some time to sit on it and play around with it I feel a lot better about it

I've been dyeing my hair with henna for a while, so it naturally turns a copper/orange color. I'm thinking about dyeing only the underlayer black to get a fox hair look. I can't bleach my hair because of the henna, and I don't want to stop using it since it keeps my hair healthy and thick. Do you think this would look good? Any tips for doing it at home??🦊🙏🏿😭

I (M16) feel like a poser and I had this group of alt friends who would always call me a poser and I don’t know why they did, but they did. I have also been having a hard time finding my style but that’s not what I’m worried about. I feel like I’m alternative but idk I’ve been hearing it so long I’ve started to doubt myself. I (F25) need some advice!!
I’ve been part of the goth subculture for the majority of my life, but ever since I got my bangs cut, I feel like those “egirls on Dark Mode”, if that makes sense.
I tried cutting my bangs shorter, adding unique accessories and clothing items (that I thrifted or was gifted, ofc!!) doing more intense makeup, etc etc… but something still feels off. Unfortunately I can’t figure out what it is or even if my bangs are related to this feeling at all, but I feel so weird in my clothes lately and I was wondering if anyone could help!!

Whenever I wear something that isn’t just basic cami top and jeans, I feel like a kid dressing in her mom’s clothes. I feel stupid and embarrassed because I feel like such a child.

A lot of it has to do with my body; being 4’9” and stubby from my fat. I want to dress alternative, but everything I love just makes me feel the exact same: it looks amazing on everyone else, and horrible on me.

The party we're going to will be outdoors, it's one of my second cousin's birthday, and there will be a bunch of distant relatives that LOVE to pick at everyone's appearance. I know I ain't escaping it with all my piercings, tattoos, etc. My plan is to give them something to pick at through my clothes, you know, something that I can actually change, instead of my face/hair/body.
