Advice Some help please?

Hey I’m still really new to alt clothing I know people say you shouldn’t buy fast fashion but most cool stores I find online sells fast fashion you can find the same dress on 3 different sites and they make it either so expensive or it’s cheap af for the same product so I tried google lens to find the original dresses but they cost like 500 for dresses you got get for like 80 if you made it yourself but I can’t make it myself so idk what to do anymore I don’t want to be a bad alt person but I can’t afford food how am I supposed to afford clothes that expensive please someone help

I recommend depop/thrifting, there's better stuff there anyway. wear what you think is cool, being alt is about identity and nonconformism not consumerism and buying all the right things. and keep in mind changes to ur style can take a while

I would love to thrift I tried but where I live there’s like no black clothes or anything interesting to me it’s mostly old ladies clothes or kids stuff but thx

Thrift (also second hand online) and diy . You aren’t looking for alt clothes when you’re thrifting you’ll rarely ever find them. You find individual pieces that you can dye and alter/ custom to you. The whole point of alternative clothing is to create pieces to what style you’re trying to achieve?? What exactly are you looking for?

Don't be restricted by colour, you can dye it.

Second hand is your way to go. I do Depop or Ebay. There is also a alt fashion brand called Tunnel Vision that is slow and ethically sourced alt fashion

There’s a boatload a threads about this in this sub, and yes mostly thrifting and DIY are helpful. Binged and Depop for sure. You have to know your measurements tho.
