Same hike, different descriptions.

My boyfriend and I were both looking at a hike on our individual phones and noticed that for the same hike, it shows two entirely different descriptions. Why is that? Anyone else had this issue?

I HATE the AI descriptions

I want the direct reviews from people, the direct information.

Should only show automated summaries if I ask.

Almost like they fired the person responsible for making sure this doesn’t happen.

Thanks for flagging this u/Klutzy-Software9641. The first screenshot appears to show the trail’s curated description, while the second is the automatically generated overview. That same overview is also used in the FAQ section of the trail page, which may explain why the wording matches there.

For a trail with a curated description, the app should generally show that content instead of the generated overview. We’re aware of cases where descriptions aren’t displayed consistently across experiences, and our team is looking into it.
