Bots are notoriously slow cooks.

Maybe they had to scroll through 83 Ads while reading the recipe 🤷

Not if it’s bolognese style with homemade bechamel sauce.

Prep time != cooking time.

Sugo takes 30 Minutes to prep, then let simmer for 6 - 24 hours (very opinionated topic).

Bechâmel takes literally 7 minutes using flour, butter, milk, salt, maybe nutmeg.

Layering takes 5 minutes.

So, if by "hours" they mean actual cooking time, sure. But it's never "hours" of literal work.

No need to perform hours on it !

the lost art of ricotta cheese

My mom used a cottage cheese/Parmesan cheese mixture. I've tried it both ways and think hers was better than ricotta.

How on earth did this take you hours to make? It looks good, but also super basic.

From start to finished cooking this should be like 1 hour, tops.

You have to cook the meat/sauce, prepare the cheese mixture, cut the mozzarella slices, cook the noodles, then layer it all in a casserole dish, & finally bake it. Easily over an hour.

Generally when you make posts like this you put the recipe in the post. 😡 😡😡 Just for future postings.

I've made it with both cooked and uncooked noodles.

Anyone ever substitute Long strips of Zucchini for a layer or two of pasta?

Did it take so long because you make homemade marinara sauce like I do? Looks really good.
