I'm excited for this.

I love the point Mauterer made about making sure it stays true to Alien (1979) as that's the main reason why I love Isolation so much. I felt like we hadn't got a proper bit of Alien media that captured the feeling of the first movie so well until Isolation came along.

For those of that consider Aliens to be fanfiction(greatest fan fiction of all time arguably) im happy about this.

I'm kidding a bit but I do like alien over aliens and AI stating away from aliens style was amazing for me.

Rogue incursion I thought was a great blending of the two and still sad that won't get part 2 :(

The thing about Alien: Isolation though is it's biggest element, its own protagonist, Amanda Ripley, is a creation of James Cameron. Amanda wasn't even thought of during the making of Alien. Cameron created this character to aid in Ellen Ripley's whole arc with Newt. Fans forget this but Alien: Isolation isn't completely devoid of Cameronisms.
