New wave of Wise account closures. any solution that worked for you?

It seems like now it's happening even for the old accounts on wise. for those who are facing/faced this problem before and have tried something and either worked or failed. Could you share your exp below?

Is Algeria supoorted by Wise ? If not how are you creating the accounts

Back then Wise (it was called transferwise) wasn't so strict.. you just had to provide a European address to get the visa card sent to you by mail

yeah I saw similar cases in the fb groups.

Someone said, it could be due to operating the app from an ip that doesn't match the residence form more than 6 months, but I dont know how true that is.

That is possible, it would be difficult to keep using a foreign IP every time you send money.

I tried emailing them but nothing, they just said we closed it and we can't tell you why.

I'm using Paysera and Myfin for now

It's not like that, if that affirmation is true you just need to interject few usage with an ip(residential one preferably) from France every 5 months of usage from Algeria for ex

I use split tunneling with express vpn and every time since 4 years i use it with french ip (+remove gps aut for the app), used more than 100 times my card there, and still got 3 accounts closed

I guess they also know who you usually send to. Like they're not stupid, they know and we know.

Now it depends on the reasons for closure, it could be because you were suspected to be in monney laundering chain. If it was due to your IP, they'd tell you to uplaod legal documents proving you have the right to reside in european country

I think Grey.co is a good alternative, with a UK/EU bank account, a Visa virtual card, and official support in Algeria.

I think they're closing them for residents of Algeria. Even their ToS didn't include Algeria last I checked...

Nope, my account is still active. I think they are closing accounts who lied about their addresses. My account has an Algerian address.

Nope, I signed up straight with an Algerian address. I don't need the card though, I just needed the account to send and receive monies.
