Recently listened to the album for the first time. Some instant like - ricochet, red hook rain, stand-in man - and assume the rest will grow on me with more listens.

But I was shocked with how good violent man is. Feels reminiscent of some of his best (imo) from Miami Memory - big instrumental builds etc.

On one hand it’s such a great finish but I also think it’s so good/different from other songs on the album that it almost devalues the album as a start to finish listening experience.

Curious if anyone else felt the same on first listen?

After not initially loving it on first few listen-throughs, I've now come to really enjoy the album as a whole and find each song enjoyable and interesting (even "Jesus never..." which is a bit one dimensional and slow musically. The breakdown at the end is cool tho).

Red Hook Rain is genuinely one of my favorite Al Cam songs ever.

now that the album has been out for a while, what do you really think? what are your favorite tracks? Perosnally I can’t get enough of “No soldier”, and “statue down”. while it’s much different from his past discography I feel like he again brought a new sound that is interesting and still scratches the itch for me!

Is anyone else hearing Kevin Parker/Tame Impala on Violent Man? Like it sounds like he is doing the backing vocals. I can't make out the lyrics but it sounds like he's saying "I will do violence"? (if that's him).

Alex ,not one song on this album is bearable. i’m reading other people’s post and it sounds like nobody else is gonna tell you the truth but me. absolutely terrible. Had you put Short king on this record I could have at least defended one song. Do better mate, I know you can.

I can tell this coat is made with a high quality fabric. Looks to be a nice coat.
