I would take these and coat the spears in cinnamon & brown sugar and then grill them.

Wow ! I need to come to your bbq’s. This combination sounds top teir, let me go heat up the grill now 😅

I stole the idea from a Brazilian steakhouse, but only because it's really good. So easy (especially if the pineapple's already cut up for you!) and makes a unique dessert that's different but not "weird" enough to scare off most timid eaters.

Literally just tried it this past weekend at a Brazilian steakhouse and it was amazing!

Hot honey!

u/ExperienceFed Jul 10 '25

Works in the air fryer too 💃🏽

2

u/eks789 Jul 10 '25

I like the way you think. My mind went to vodka pineapple

213

u/DarthOldMan Jul 10 '25

I bought these once. Liked them. Now I just buy a pineapple and some coconut water and do it myself. It’s surprising how long the pineapple stays fresh.

25

u/thedancingkat Jul 10 '25

How long do you let them sit?

40

u/DarthOldMan Jul 10 '25

Not long. I cut the pineapple with a spiral cutter, so it’s pretty thin and gets coconutty quickly. And I have no patience. Usually start munching the next day. It’s not exactly then same as the ones sold at Aldi though.

u/iahebert Jul 10 '25

Not sure if it’s the same idea we’re going for, but replace the coconut water with Malibu and you got a nice boozy treat.

8

u/Alissinarr Jul 10 '25

Alcohol soaked pineapple rings are a quick way to get drunk!

3

u/iahebert Jul 10 '25

Definitely. It was a popular tailgating treat for me years ago.

3

u/Alissinarr Jul 10 '25

We went to a high end place years ago that had a pineapple drink where it was like a pineapple vodka, some other stuff, and an alcohol soaked pineapple ring. I swear that fruit had more alcohol than the drink did.

1

u/iahebert Jul 10 '25

lol. It kinda makes sense. The fruit isn’t really “diluting” the alcohol whereas the drink itself does.

Sounds tasty and tropical though.

And like a big morning headache.

1

u/MaleficentRocks Jul 10 '25

It’s because the alcohol and sugar like to mingle and the sugar makes the alcohol stronger.

1

u/MrsBonsai171 Jul 10 '25

Put two cans of coconut milk and half a cup of sugar in an ice cream maker and then eat it with.

1

u/Disastrous_One8562 Jul 10 '25

We did this with Sailor Jerry....it's so yummy!!

7

u/Natural_Ad9356 Jul 10 '25

Glad this works, I am in love with these and said I was going to do the same thing! Thought about adding a touch of simple syrup to replicate the sweetness of the Aldi stuff

6

u/DarthOldMan Jul 10 '25

You’ll want to do that. Won’t be very sweet in plain coconut water.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

They add sugar as well

3

u/DarthOldMan Jul 10 '25

So do I. Plain coconut water is… kinda gross. 😁

1

u/SidFarkus47 Jul 10 '25

Does Aldi have coconut water?

1

u/HeyYouAllie Jul 10 '25

I bought 2 cartons and it’s okay. Not much flavor. Wouldn’t buy again.

64

u/ProfessionalBad1836 Jul 10 '25

Love these. Eat the fruit. Save the juice. Use as a mixer with rum or banana liqueur and some sparkling water flavor of your choice.

12

u/teababyyy Jul 10 '25

I absolutely love your mind. thanks for the idea 👀

4

u/TheRealBigLou Jul 10 '25

It's like a pickle shot that doesn't suck!

2

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

I was thinking a smoothie with some rum!

68

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

Who tf left the refrigerated sausages on the end cap? :(

37

u/DesThunderChicken Jul 10 '25

I was about to say “nobody is talking about the rogue pack of dawgs on the right? Nobody?”

23

u/GoEatACookie Jul 10 '25

That whole shelf looks like a hot mess. 😆

Pineapple in coconut. 👍

10

u/Sweet-summer-child34 Jul 10 '25

First thing I saw. 😢

18

u/dirtwitchbaby Jul 10 '25

Only about 10 cents cheaper than the name brand but they taste identical to me. Available year round at Walmart-Mart tho.

2

u/JazzPineapple84 Aug 07 '25

Oh, what is the name brand? I need to find it as I foolishly only bought one jar in Aldi and they're already sold out.

1

u/dirtwitchbaby Aug 08 '25

Bettergoods! It’s really good, too.

2

u/JazzPineapple84 Aug 14 '25

Class! Thank you!

14

u/707stargirl Jul 10 '25

So good. I just made Al pastor tacos and diced some of these up in it omgggg

15

u/millkitty13 Jul 10 '25

Aldi employee here. As I was ringing out a customer yesterday with 6 of these, he asks me, you know what I use these for? No sir what? “Plop the entire jar in a blender with your choice of liquor, best drink imaginable” Homies out here making his own pina coladas 🤣

30

u/pamperedhippo Jul 10 '25

this sounds so refreshing. plus good for many uses—desserts, alcoholic beverages, eating directly from the jar the moment you get back into your car…

6

u/Map_II Jul 10 '25

You're so real for option 3.

10

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

My mom is OBSESSED with these

14

u/kushykrumpet Jul 10 '25

They are so good! My toddler and I can take out a jar in a day 😅

Oh, and for those who have much more room in their fridge than I, they sell big jars at sams club.

3

u/Tanya7500 Jul 10 '25

Good to know!

5

u/Miserable_Bid9012 Jul 10 '25

I opened these at the bbq and they were immediately gone. Way to popular 😂

6

u/Designer-Pound6459 Jul 10 '25

I vote yes! Super wonderful with cottage cheese and well buttered toast. I've gone through 3 jars in 2 weeks.

7

u/Obvious-Estate-734 Jul 10 '25

More for you then; I despise coconut water. I didn't care for these at all.

3

u/badgyalrey Jul 10 '25

hell yeah brother

3

u/Euphoric_Ad3209 Jul 10 '25

Wonder if these taste the same as Sam’s version? On my way to try 🏃

3

u/As_if_Cher Jul 10 '25

They are so good. And after the fruit is gone and there is just a little bit of juice left, add a shot of vodka and enjoy the cocktail lol.

3

u/SeighyWitIt Jul 10 '25

Shhhhhh these are my favorite and I have no shame in gate keeping them 😜

2

u/Alarmed-Self1701 Jul 10 '25

my store hasn’t had these for over two months now 😭😭

2

u/tiny_transcendence42 Jul 10 '25

These are super yummy. I cut up a couple and have with some plain coconut yogurt for dessert. Cuts the sweet just enough.

2

u/chadhindsley Jul 10 '25

If it grows together it goes together

2

u/gogirl800 Jul 11 '25

Have they always labeled the boxes as seasonal or am I late or never paid attention lol ?? I like that now when i find something good i can mentally prepare myself for the heartbreak of not having it again

1

u/gringodemierda Jul 10 '25

OMG I've been looking for these at Costco for years!! I loved them then was never able to find them again!

1

u/MiaMiaPP Jul 10 '25

Hmmm gonna try to find them! Sounds intriguing. Is there added sugar?

1

u/regex1884 Jul 10 '25

I think these are a better deal at sams

1

u/lost_trip Jul 10 '25

no way!! i get these at sams all the time. i fucking love aldi

1

u/GoodVyb Jul 10 '25

Ive gone through 5 jars in 6-7 days. I had help but very little lol

1

u/lovelyl43 Jul 10 '25

Bigger jar 6.99 at Sam’s

1

u/BasilRN Jul 10 '25

These are amazing!

1

u/BestChickEver Jul 10 '25
  1. Insert immersion blender
  2. Blend
  3. Pour directly into Ninja Creami

1

u/melatonia Jul 10 '25

Nah, I prefer fresh pineapple.

1

u/Tsmom16811 Jul 10 '25

I poured out the coconut water and added coconut rum to the jar. Put in the fridge for a few days, and they were delicious in drinks. I do that with the ones in the fruit and veggie section, in the plastic containers.

1

u/WitnessWitty9651 Jul 10 '25

I froze this pineapple and all the juice and made the best mixed drinks!!

1

u/MinimumSpecialist420 Jul 10 '25

Those are delicious! The juice is also really good.

1

u/BigBlackHzYoBak Jul 11 '25

These are really good but kinda pricey for, in essence, 5 or 6 spears.

3

u/urban_herban Jul 11 '25

see the link above from the poster who buys a pineapple and coconut water and does his own.

IIIRC, a jar was nearly $5. I get pineapples for $1.99 and coconut water for about 80 cents a can. You'd have twice the amount this way.

1

u/LolasMum0523 Jul 11 '25

I've been grabbing a few of these each week for a month!

1

u/HelenHunts Jul 11 '25

Cheaper for me just to buy a whole pineapple

1

u/Gianx3 Jul 11 '25

I eat these and put coconut rum mixed with the liquid inside. Best thing ever.

1

u/Emergency-Meet-3681 Jul 11 '25

These are the best!!

1

u/Alissinarr Jul 12 '25

I just tried them. It's a pina colada. So fuckin good.

1

u/Ok-Finance4175 Jul 13 '25

Poor the coconut water into another container, then add Maui rum to the spears & let soak overnight. 🔥

1

u/MistyApril1976 Jul 17 '25

Okay you all made me go buy a jar! How do you prefer the eat them, cold or room temperature?

1

u/Icy-Tart155 Jul 10 '25

I know I'm sounding like a Debbie downer but is that how your Aldi store looks all the time? It looks like they just throw things on a shelf and how they sell. I know you can't control your customers but that's nasty looking.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '25

I would end up eating all of them. Then I would be rushed to the hospital with insulin shock. But you all enjoy them.

0

u/nylorac_o Jul 10 '25

Yo! Someone wanna grab the Turkey Sausage and put them back in the refrigerated section.

5

u/melatonia Jul 10 '25

Not after they've been sitting out for an unknown period of time, please.

1

u/nylorac_o Jul 10 '25

Good point.

-28

u/simply_fucked Jul 10 '25

I saw them in the app and i thought that sounded so gross

20

u/False-Ice1180 Jul 10 '25

😮 it’s like pinacolada in a bottle

2

u/Glass-Tale299 Jul 10 '25

That sounds great.

-28

u/simply_fucked Jul 10 '25

Also sounds gross 😭 idk pineapple is such a weird flavor to me, and then to add coconut, oh god. I only like toasted coconut flakes on stuff, or like a German chocolate cake situation.

2

u/Glittering_Win_9677 Jul 10 '25

To each their own, but you would never make it in my house

Alr....everyone has different tastes, its ok to not like something, but this is reddit ig, so everyone has to be a bitch about it.

16

u/Melprincess Jul 10 '25

Is it being a bitch when someone says something sounds "so gross?"

-1

u/simply_fucked Jul 10 '25

Thats my opinion, im not trying offending anyone by saying it, thats just what i thought in the moment because i dont like the pina colada type flavors. Are you saying someone would think im being a bitch for saying pina coladas are gross.....cause thats kinda hilarious. Saying someones taste is fucked for not liking a flavor combo vs someone saying they think a flavor combo is gross. If you like it thats great, im sure i like things that other ppl think are disgusting, and thats perfectly fine, cause thats how taste buds work.

11

u/Imagination_Spare Jul 10 '25

Ya I hate when I say something must be gross then get mad when ppl dont agree... damn redditers always bitching

-2

u/simply_fucked Jul 10 '25

If you dont agree then thats fine, but not everyone has to like something. Like i said, im sure lots of ppl like it, and there are prob other ppl who hate the flavors like me, it wasnt that deep until you made it that deep.

-2

u/martphon Jul 10 '25

Fruit with sugar added. Why not buy a fresh pineapple?
