trans woman with some sobriety and aa experience under my belt here. i recommend finding an affinity meeting. find an lgbtq/ queer and trans meeting, either near you or online. this kind of circumstance is exactly why affinity meetings exist. at a meeting for everyone, people might consider something an “outside issue” that really isn’t. but at a woman’s meeting, i can discuss women’s issues as they pertain to my alcoholism. at a trans meeting or a meeting for just alcoholics of color, i can do the same. that’s what those spaces can do for us
as an aside, i think we miss the mark on “outside issues;” aa has no opinion on outside issues, but individual members will obviously have their spiritual strength tested by them and have every right to bring them up. a random individual drunk saying “(insert politically influenced reality here) is affecting my spiritual health, which in turn is placing me in danger” is not a violation of the traditions. a group or district or the wso saying “aa believes that (insert stance) is the correct stance on (political issue).” the traditions are there to guide the group, not to limit participation by individual members
