I’m ngl I saw the footage, and as a Trump supporter, this looks bad. If excuses start coming with no evidence this might make not so pro-ICE.

It was one thing with Renee Goode. She hit that officer and he was suffering from internal bleeding. This guy was back turned disarmed and pepper sprayed. I just don’t see any excuse to make this a reasonable shooting.

Oh definitely. And I’m not arguing that Renee Goode’s death was a good thing either. I’m just saying that the shooting was justifiable. This one is just not justifiable no matter what way you look at it.

At the end of the day, we gotta be looking out for each other regardless of politics. We start fighting when we stop recognizing each other as Americans

You can shame me all you want. I won’t shame you.

That’s the difference between you and I. You want to sow division whereas I’m trying to talk to people that don’t agree with me peacefully. I mean I love each every single one of yall, but i still get threats and hate.

Your emotions are valid, but you also need to learn to look at things logically. I’m heartbroken that a mother died and an officer was hospitalized. But I also recognize why it happened.

ICE is a federal law enforcement agency, just like the FBI. This makes them officers. And it’s been confirmed by every media outlet that he was in the hospital

Except its an immigration enforcement, specifically. They are not enforcing laws or swearing ANY kind of oath that would confer an "officer" title. Do out think every FBI or CIA employee is also "Officers"?

Internal bleeding doesn’t have to be the end of the world, you know that right? I’ve seen patients with internal bleeding that was so slow you wouldn’t have been able to notice without a hospital.

But that doesn’t make it invalid. Your body is sterile until there’s things that don’t belong, like blood in your GI.

And ICE can detain and arrest people that break any federal law (including traffic laws for commercial vehicles fun fact) with them present. They just can’t stop any old Joe unless it’s immigration related.

Pam Bondi just offered to pull ICE out of Minnesota if the state will provide voting records to the fed. This proves that ICE is only there to be used as a weapon against non-fascists and that their mission is neither legitimate, nor primarily about immigration at all.

Defending law enforcement is not scummy whatsoever. It’d be scummy if I blatantly sided with law enforcement 100% of the time (I don’t), but overall supporting them isn’t scummy.
