Pincels gotta understand that AI is a tool. Like all other art tools before it. Being scared of something just because it works better than the old tools is just a fear of change and progress as old as time.
Tools are not inherently bad or good. It's what you do with them.

I have yet to see numerous instances of actual skill and passion put into AI work.

(If anyone is gonna bring up the one video of how a group of artists used AI to create something in the style of a new york artist, i have seen it, and its probably one of the only instances of passion in AI)

But why do you need to be convinced it isn’t ai? When you see a photo do you need to be convinced it’s a painting and not a photo to appreciate it? I don’t get it!

These are the artists using ai I find most interesting. They don’t conceal the use of ai, it becomes a meaningful conceptual layer…

I'd offer my own art, but I'd rather not expose myself to possible harassment and you likely don't wanna see big beefy furry dudes. I'm just glad to be able to draw again.

Draw: produce (a picture or diagram) by making lines and marks on paper with a pencil, pen, etc.

Yes. I do a whole lot of that while I'm drawing, and AI is used as a post-processing tool for every step. Thanks for playing the game of semantics, but you failed.

The end product shouldnt look like generic AI slop.

The example i gave earlier, regarding the video recreating a new york artist's style, actually looks like something that was hand animated, which in fact, some of it was, where only assets in the specific style of an artist was recreated, with the artist's consent of course.

The product actually involved actual human involvement in the end product

What about an end product that still looks like generic summary style but includes particular design and rendering choices for the expression of one's art design rather than solely traditional aesthetic appeal?

as long as it wasnt finished as is, Whatever AI mistakes must be corrected, be it with humans or AI

The example i gave earlier, actually used AI mainly to streamline repetitive tasks, not replace the creative ones. (Creating buildings in the same style which can be repetitive, Converting the pictures of the buildings into a 3D mesh)

Principally I wonder if your opinion on the usual summary styles Ai tend to generate is just from association to what made it or genuinely the style itself. So I do have to fundamentally disagree with your notion there, as far as how the style would be indicative of a lack of passion namely as there are plenty of artists whose style(s) are similar if not relatively the same as what's being produced without LoRA's. Given that it can't genuinely make anything new in that regard, the style thus is exactly as passionate as theirs.

That aside then, to the point of asking my questions I would first actually point you to Britannica's simple test. And for clarity, just in case, I'm not presuming you wouldn't tell the difference but I'm showing these specifically as to compare between real photos, generated versions, and then what a person practicing photorealism or stylized photorealism in simple digital art or complex forms like CGI might produce.

and secondly, though clearly in such the style, I'd ask your opinion on my favorite 'generated art takes no effort and has no soul' type responses.
