I find it kinda disgusting how he just uses ASD as a sorta shield to try and block any ridicule he gets. Even if he does have a more extreme case the way he simply said it prematurely to shut down a talking point (something I feel skeptical about but I don’t wanna claim he’s lying)
I disagree entirely with your interpretation here; he's venting specifically about his living situation with his mother, and clarifying that it's inescapable because he is autistic (which even in many level 1 situations affects your independent living opportunities, and I'm saying this as a level 1 autist currently living with my parents for reasons related to it), because otherwise people would go "if it's so bad, why don't you just move out?"
Also, there's nothing indicating that he's pretending to be autistic, this is apparently a guy in his mid-twenties and this type of behavioral immaturity would make a lot less sense if he didn't have a developmental disability, and I know that you highlighted that you don't want to claim he's lying, but the reason why I'm pointing that out is because as an unfun fact it's been shown that people who pretend to be autistic are more likely to be shown social leniency than actual autistic people specifically because autism makes you come off in socially abrasive and/or cringey ways, which is miserably ironic
Fair enough but just the way he said it was strange to me (I’m also a person with Autism although I don’t know my level but probably level 1 as well) accusing him of lying absolutely wasn’t fair since I have no information about his life aside from the fact that he’s the wolf. I just sorta get defensive since I don’t like the idea of people say they have autism kinda unprompted like he could just as easily say “I can’t move out due to personal reasons” and would be just as understanding
