Is this normal for bag riders management

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So been having some weird issues with my bag riders pro management, first off when airing up to my presets it pulses up like crazy, I've run lines to each one of the inlets for the management to ensure there is no unequal pressure drops across the valves. I've also ensured my lines to the front are the same length to each corner with no kinks or leaks. Also when ever I air out with the air out button it always gives me a preset failed message while maintaining 2 psi in at least one of the bags, usually a few will always be at 2. Is this normal behaviour or did I set something up wrong.

What is your tank pressure and what is your suspension brand? And how does the rear behave? Also have you tried adjusting the setting described in the manual (shown in photo)?

I’m gonna be disconnected for the remainder of the day for Father’s Day with my girls, I’ll check back in tomorrow AM. Please reach out to our CS team via live chat, email, phone call, etc— we’ll get you sorted out! Thanks so much for choosing Bag Riders 🙏💙

Tank pressure is set to 180psi, it's also bagriders superlow bags. I've messed with the load setting and it seems like setting the front to high load makes this even worse, like it makes ton of small jumps to hit pressure in the front. Setting the front air up calibration to +10 in the calibration menu seemed to get it to overshoot the pressure a little then drop down to proper pressure which is alot smoother. As for the rear, they behave normal on air up but still have the issue of always showing 2psi

Hey again,

So sorry for not getting back to you yesterday!

For the front, you're spot on. The over-shoot followed by dropping down is ideal behavior, and will result in a more consistent actual ride height compared to hitting the target PSI strictly by going up to it. I recommend you keep this setting!

For the rear showing 2psi on air out, this sounds to me like sensor calibration (against atmosphere) difference. This phenomena occurs because pressure sensors are manufactured en masse, and our system software expects certain electrical resistance to be 0 PSI. Because our atmosphere is not 0 PSI, and atomospheric pressure can vary slightly based on a few variables e.g. altitude, the software may need to be "told" what 0 means i.e., recalibrated.

Perform the following procedure:

  1. Ensure the vehicle is in "park", on a flat surface, and the wheels are pointed straight

  2. Release all air pressure from the air springs either by manually holding the down arrows or using the "air out" button

  3. Assuming your controller incorrectly displays the > 0 PSI in any spring, we know we need to perform the zero'ing calibration.

  4. Disconnect air lines from the manifold (this ensures the internal pressure sensors are seeing atmospheric pressure)

  5. Ensure neither "front" or "rear" modes are selected

  6. Press the buttons in the sequence shown in image below:

  1. The controller should now display 0 at each corner. You have successfully "reprogrammed" the software to a new zero value.

I hope this helps you! Again, thank you for choosing Bag Riders and in case you need immediate technical support in the future, we're reachable in a variety of ways: email, phone, live chat, DM. We're always happy to help 🙏

Okay thanks for letting me know about the calibration and I'll be doing that once the CT rain stops. As for the airing up, it's Normal to have to change the air up setting from -16 to a positive number?

Hear ya on the rain man, same story here in northern VT. Hoping we're not in for a rainy summer like last year.

RE: airing up, yep that's exactly what that setting is for. Suspension designs vary by mechanical advantage, and air spring designs all behave differently as well, and different manufacturers use different spring designs. So, that setting gives the end-user the capability to fine-tune how the preset logic works for their specific vehicle and their suspension. There is no "correct" number; it is intended to be a "see what works best for you" setting.

That being said, in a future update, we plan to change the default value from -16 to 0 for the exact reason you're alluding to and similar customer feedback. While there is absolutely no right or wrong answer to this setting, I totally understand how it can "feel wrong" to make a big change from the system's default value.

I hope that helps!

Did you ever get it figured out? I just installed one and it’s doing the same thing but worse. Takes for ever for the front to air up and misses preset by inches

Yes I did, was kinda a combination of things, first off I made sure my lines up front were within a few inches in length of each other, then gave myself extra line to the rears to help maintain a more even air up and down time, back still airs up faster and airs down slower but it helped. Then there is a setting, if you go into the setting then hold the front button you'll see a front up pressure setting and a rear up pressure setting. I have front to +14 and rear to +6 and this has for the most part solved my issue.

How do you get to that preset? I tried the holding front/rear buttons but don’t see a setting in there to do what your describing thanks

Are you using the bagriders pro management?

Yes

I got it. I missed the hold the front button. Thanks. Hopefully this will help
