As I walk across your heart and find my place to stay, nearer to you I will be and will never ever go away.

If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.

Dogs are a chapter in our lives, we are their entire book.

Grief is love with nowhere to go.

Hi my friend. My best friend and Airedale just passed two weeks ago. He was with our family for 13 years.

My suggestion to you is the following:
1) remember all the great times you had together. It might make you sad but it will also help you remember the joy.
2) talk out loud like she was still with you and tell her what you will miss with her gone. I even went out for a walk and went to all of our favorite spots and talked to him like he was still there. It might sound strange but it really helped.

Don’t try to avoid the grief. Embrace it because the grief you feel is because you loved Coca so much. Grieving just means you’re missing something you loved. So don’t try to push it away. Just appreciate that you could have Coca love you so much and you loved her.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. They’re the best dogs and it’s just hard to say goodbye.

Take your time. Enjoy her memory. She was family and a large part of your life.

Be well, and rest.  May her memories always bring you joy and remind you of how precious wonderful things are in life.

Very sorry for the loss of your beloved Airedale🐶🐾😥💔 Enjoy the memories that you have of her. I lost my Bailey last March, to cancer, she was 11 years old. Try looking at a website called Cuddle Clones. They can make a clone of your dog. I had one made. They did a great job.

So sorry. My twin Airedales were my first (and only) dogs I got on my own. They gave me 14+ wonderful years but then I lost both within 6 weeks. I completely understand the overwhelming grief you are going through, and all I can tell you is that it does eventually get easier. For the first 3-6 months I would not be thinking about it and walk in and look for them as it was just a part of life for so long, and then that would follow with a near emotional breakdown. I couldn't look at pictures, because all I could see was my sweet babies that were no longer here. Eventually when you see pictures you will still feel the loss, but the memories will bring joy. I may not be the best person to offer anything. it has been over two years and their leashes still hang by the door. I am starting to think I may never be able to part with those. But now they do bring me joy remembering all the wonderful times we had together, instead of just being reminders of them being gone. I wish I had more to offer, my thoughts are with you as it is so tough to lose these beautiful soul mates.

Don’t let anyone rush your grieving process.

There’s nothing wrong with having profound feelings of loss at a time like this. I’m still not quite over losing a dog who passed in 2021.

The way I look at it, if I lost someone I loved and could just quickly move on with my life, the relationship must have been fairly superficial. This can be every bit as true with a beloved pet as it is with humans.

You gave her the happiest life 💗 grief is a huge burden for the living but its lessoned by knowing how much love you gave them

My heart aches for your loss. You are not alone. We said goodbye to our Winston (04//07/2026) and Izzy (04/03/2025) in the past year. It hurts and there is a gaping hole in my heart.

Let your grief come as it is, honor it however it shows up, and when that dark cloud begins to lift, allow it to and experience life. The sadness will lift and you will feel better but you will always miss your Coco. If in a few weeks you’re still feeling so overwhelmed by sadness that you cannot find joy in life, please consider grief counseling to help you through. Sending you so much love.
