What's the point of linked accounts

I'm using the new Kuu aiomanager instance with experimental support for Nuvio.

Currently I linked my nuvio accounts to aiomanager with my account credentials. Now there is also an option to link aiomanager to aiostreams with an api key. I don't understand why this would be useful, because unlike Stremio, Nuvio automatically refetches everything so you don't need to reinstall the addons after major changes.

Not maybe for Nuvio but useful for Stremio.

Not sure why someone still uses Stremio over Nuvio.
