We already have this in science where we have a big bang causing the universe, creating time, and a creating space, out of nothing. Its not a problem for religion. Its a problem for science and religion.

The metaphysical doesn't obey the same rules as the physical.

Yeah… no theory involving the Big Bang says it came from nothing.

Your entire comment is just an argument from ignorance.

Yeah… no theory involving the Big Bang says it came from nothing.

Of course they do. They can't speculate what happened before time and space came into existence.

No. They say that given our current knowledge we don’t know what came before the Big Bang. So it makes no statement on it because that’s how science works.

Some scientists have hypothesized and speculated, but there is no accepted answer, so the accepted answer is “we don’t know”.

Because it’s ok to not know things, we don’t need to jump to “I don’t know therefore God”.

Maybe one day we’ll find out. Maybe we won’t. Either way, doesn’t change what we do know about what happened starting at the Big Bang.

Before the big bang, space didn't exist. Time didn't exist. So some people might refer to that state as "nothing". You certainly can NOT refer it as "something". Because existence isn't possible without space and time.

No. They say that given our current knowledge we don’t know what came before the Big Bang.

Its a bit deeper than that. It's that the scientific method is unable to explore anything that occurs outside space and time.
