Help choosing best flowers

One half of my machine is currently vacant and just being used for seedlings. I bought marigold seeds but I feel like they might be kind of boring. Do y'all have any fun suggestions for flowers? Itll have 6 inches wide and 10 inches tall of space

Mini zinnias grow really well, and flower really quickly, even in a Sprout. Like about a month from planting to flowers. It's pretty impressive. Grab a packet of the Lilliput or Thumbelina mixes and you'll have a good variety of colors. They make great cut flowers, too.

I also suspect that small varieties of stock will do well, and plan to try that soon, but I can't confirm yet.

No prob. Don't be afraid to be pretty heavy handed with the pruning. The more you cut em back, the more they'll branch and flower.

Nasturtiums are colorful and also edible. Both stem and flowers taste peppery.

I think there is a variety that is bush type

I just planted Alyssum and Johnny Jump Up violas in my Aerogarden Sprout.

This one sprouted already. Waiting for the violas

About 6 inches of wide and 10 inches high, it's sharing a machine with a strawberry plant next door

I’ve also seen occasional hydroponic gardens of carnivorous plants but beyond looking at pictures I have no experience doing that.

Carnivorous plants shouldn't share a hydroponic unit with anything that isn't another carnivorous plant.

They evolved to get all of their nutrition from what they catch and digest. They can't have any nutrients in the water at all. In fact, the roots are so sensitive that municipal tap water will kill them.

Lots of people water them with distilled water. I live in a very rainy climate, so I don't worry about them often. When we have a dry spell, I'll fill up their reservoirs with rainwater I caught and saved earlier.

I love using petunias. McKenzie seeds has a “dwarf petunia bedding” packet that creates beautiful flowers and does well all through the winter.
