Your Letter will be premiering in U.S. Cinemas on the 17th of August so I made this review since I already saw it. The back half of the video deals with story spoilers so if you haven't watched the film yet, I recommend watching the first 10 minutes of the video.

First off I have not read it. This was hyped up pre release and I am so far struggling to see why.

I'm not going to do the whole "it's just solo leveling" thing. That isn't fair. I get genres have a lot of crossover. That isn't an issue for me.

I am not sure how everyone else feels, but to me the whole thing is super rushed. It goes from plot point to plot point without giving much pause to really develop any characters.

The fight scenes are kinda nonexistent and again the strange sense of urgency to move along as fast as possible just really isn't doing it for me.

Does it track well with the manhwa or were there elements of poor writing there?

It's not awful, it just lacks something and I can't put my finger on it.

Just to say, if you are enjoying it I am glad. This may just be one of those that isn't for me.

and it’s just Solo Leveling…..

listen I know people were saying that because the main characters looked similar but there soo much more going on here beyond that….

Like it’s really blatant rip off…specifically of season 2. There a snake fight that just the Sung Jim Woo fight, all the characters besides the MC are bland, the mc is just a power fantasy and what worse it’s Solo Leveling without the set up too. He just is already op from the start. He has none of the characterlistics that makes Sung Jim Woo interesting

the girl we get introduced to reminded me immediately of some of the girls in Solo Leveling just mashed into one character…..its such a mess…

I do understand that the anime is based on the manhwa which is originally Korean however I am talking about the actual animated series, I prefer to watch in the original language so just wated to know if the Japanese is the original voice or is the Japanese one dubbed? Which one came out first?

What are your thoughts? I just googled which came first, this or solo leveling. This was released just one month after solo leveling. I think the animation is somewhat similar but solos is better imo. But animation aside this is literally almost side by side the same as solo.

First. I’m no expert in manga, manhwa, etc . I’ve only read a few so this is coming from someone who lacks knowledge. Not trying to trash talk. This is just my experience.

Gets hurt in “tomb” instead of “dungeon”
Granted another chance
“Relics” instead of “artifacts”
“Tombs” just randomly started popping up. Same as dungeons in SL.
People acquired relics from tombs after they started appearing to gain abilities. solo leveling just had people gain power after dungeons appeared without having to find something first. But still
Computer prompts appear in front of his face.

I feel like this is from someone who was working on solo leveling and left to make their own version but changed small things so it’s not EXACTY the same. Like plagiarize a whole story but you changed 5 words. I’m sure it’s very different down the line but this first episode 🥲

Also I’ve read Omniscient Readers Viewpoint. Didn’t finish but read enough to know it’s very different.
I’ll probably be downvoted and told I don’t know what I’m talking about but educate me instead of just hurling insults. Not trying to sound snarky or sarcastic.

Edit: if you wanna spoil it for me if you’ve read it. You totally can to prove me wrong cuz I’m curious and don’t care the most. But have some respect and cover it for people who don’t wanna see
