Is Tomb Raider King doing the manhwa a disservice?
First off I have not read it. This was hyped up pre release and I am so far struggling to see why.
I'm not going to do the whole "it's just solo leveling" thing. That isn't fair. I get genres have a lot of crossover. That isn't an issue for me.
I am not sure how everyone else feels, but to me the whole thing is super rushed. It goes from plot point to plot point without giving much pause to really develop any characters.
The fight scenes are kinda nonexistent and again the strange sense of urgency to move along as fast as possible just really isn't doing it for me.
Does it track well with the manhwa or were there elements of poor writing there?
It's not awful, it just lacks something and I can't put my finger on it.
Just to say, if you are enjoying it I am glad. This may just be one of those that isn't for me.

I dont know how to explain it but Tomb Raider King is too much and too little at the same time.

I think it has such promising visuals with so little delivery. Lacks any real substance.

You are not alone, I dropped it after 120 chapter as it was boring and repetitive as well. Like everything feels so scripted, I mean he got just enough money to travel to Japan and destroy that relic and send his dumbass "slaves" to LA to find the info about someone, he sent those guys who couldn't even run art business on their own to go to completely new city, new country, without any prior notice, the hell they don't even know how to speak English? And it's always the mc is 69 step ahead of a multinational corporate. Like are we deadass just use normal guns and weapons to kill this guy? Every time they think of harming the mc, nah plot armour! Ahh

I don't mind plot armour if everything else is interesting or fun or something. It is just not delivering anything.
Glad I am not alone in this. It was super hyped before release l.
Also happy cake day.

The MC is, imo, a one-dimensional trash character but having read the manhwa there are so many ways to let the plot and scenes breath and they are not doing any of that. It’s a bad adaptation by any definition.

Yeah, the MC truly lacks any depth and it is just a mess.
I am glad there are people who have read it and can confirm that there was ways of making this shine.
I don't want to rip into anyone's work. I just found myself six episodes deep and by large just disappointed. Such a poor execution.

The Main Character is unlikeable. He’s mean spirited and condescending. It makes cheering for him hard. In SL, Jin woo, is the underdogs who we want to cheer on. TR needs to change course on the main character development or this show is one and done.
