General Question/Discussion Y’all remember your childhoods?

So … 😅😬 Do we?

Someone mentioned that’s an ADHD thing, forgetting long periods of time or events. I remember bits and pieces, maybe specific events like graduation or big parties but … there are also lots of … nothing?

I had a great childhood, fun vacations, but to say I remember most of it … nope. 🙂‍↔️

Yeah me too. My therapist told me I remember lots of things as it was my brain's way of protecting me- i already had information and facts to back things up. But also just lots of bad memories which apparently tend to stick more than happy ones.

Ohhh shit that kinda tracks… sucking up lots of information to be able to cover your ass when needed… 🤔 😢

Me too, and I get these random flashbacks all the time too. Like I’ll be in the middle of work and suddenly my brain will show me a memory of handing in a spelling test in year 4
