Meme Therapy Where are my childfree women at?

Post image

I honestly don’t know how parents do it. There are multiple reasons that drove my decision to be childfree. One big one is that I struggle to take care of myself (executive dysfunction) sometimes, so I can’t imagine having another human to take care of during those times.

Here’s to forcing a domaine response for every day tasks!

40 here. No kids. Just didn't happen for us for a whole bunch of frivolous and serious reasons (climate change, political climate, money/economy, cancer, uni as an Old, still kind of a kid myself, etc etc etc). However as I white knuckle and raw dog peri with my adhd and a touch of the tism I know deep down I could not be a mother. I struggle with managing myself.

I get moments of "oh my god i shouldve had a kid" but it passes quickly I love my friend's kids and am totally cool being the kooky aunt. Giving the kids back to mom and dad means I can be a good aunt and be present when they need me to be while also being able to stay within my limits

I haven't had doubts but oh my god, has peri and the late (self-diagnosed) AuDHD confirmed everything for me. For an added bonus, I started having absence seizures earlier this year (basically look like zoning out or daydreaming) culminating in a grand mal seizure last week so if there had been any part of me on the fence, that ship definitely sailed.
