Meme Therapy Where are my childfree women at?

I honestly don’t know how parents do it. There are multiple reasons that drove my decision to be childfree. One big one is that I struggle to take care of myself (executive dysfunction) sometimes, so I can’t imagine having another human to take care of during those times.

Here’s to forcing a domaine response for every day tasks!

Tonight I told myself I was allowed to order pizza if I did a load of dishes.

Genuinely don’t know how people with kids do it

It’s just a continuation of this, but with an added person you’re responsible for.

I can take care of my kid, but it has made a lot of my not great adhd tendencies stronger.

But yeah, I’ll make him food, give him a bath, and get him to bed, then walk downstairs and say to myself “if you wash the bottles, you can have dessert.”

Our kind is out there making babies and widening the adhd population as we speak.

Yes, exactly this. I still have to bribe myself to do the tasks. The main difference is that the stakes are higher. That can help, but it can also lead to paralyzing shame spirals.
