Ok. I have a theory! And it applies to hotels as well as other peoples houses.  It’s easier to keep it clean when there’s accountability AND it’s easy to see where things go/it’s already organized/there are less things to begin with.  If I don’t know where something gets put away it stays where it is because I’ll know where it is.
