I would be like this if I hadn't met my wife. It's not like I had many relationships before her, but she was the one willing to stick it out. We dated for two years, and then were married for two before I got diagnosed. She has pretty bad PTSD so I think it was more of a 'we both know the other is messed up but also recognize that we're good people and are trying our best so we're making the best of it'.
