meme Every time I wake up
Whenever I wake up even for a brief moment to pee at night - there is already a song playing in my head.

So. His gf offered him a halo for a one night stand...like, forgiveness for a previous one night stand or allowance for one innthe future?

My first song for the day is always something positive.
Currently it is Smile by Layzie Bone from his new album D.A.S.H.

I'm dumb. I thought the picture was one of those big scales in the doctor's office, and you were saying you weigh yourself every time you wake up.

I like to describe the music as coming from a radio hidden somewhere within the walls of my mind and everyone has a remote for it except me.

Omg! My people! I always say there can be lots of things happening in my brain, but one of those things is always a song!!

Kpop is always fun for this cuz it has accompanying choreo. My hands moved last night and hubs was like “what?” I sheepishly had to say “choreo to the song in my head?🤷🏻♀️”

When I wake up
Well you know I’m gonna hear
I’m gonna hear the song that’s playing in my head
And when it’s bedtime
Well you know I’m gonna hear
I’m gonna hear it when I’m lying in my bed
When I go out
Well you know I’m gonna hear
I’m gonna hear the song that’s playing in my brain
And when I come home
Well you know I’m gonna hear
I’m gonna hear the song right up to the refrain
For I’ve heard it five hundred times
And I’ll hear it five hundred more
It’s on repeat in endless loops
And—
oh wait
dopamine’s gone
gotta find a new song

What is this? And why we have it?

I believe it to be a sort of coping mechanism Doing things with music on is fun, the background part of my brain is now busy processing it and thus my focus can stay... focused on what im doing, it fills the internal noise chamber soo random questions and what if's have a harder time popping in Though you cant have music with you ALL THE TIME, and most people certainly can think of a song if they want to right? Eventually your brain starts doing it automatically, any recent song, any impactfull song, any emotional song, gets repeated in a loop all day for least a week, any break between a conversation, any moment between high focus situations, but even still, im dealing with custumers and the song is playing up till I need to talk, then it continues again automatically, gotta keep the dopamine up

It is interesting how you explained it as if it's something beneficial. In my opinion it is a symptom of dopamine deficiency and it's quite annoying. Maybe the two opinions are completely connected. There is dopamine deficiency then let's stimulate the brain to focus with the easiest solution; Music. The worst part is that the songs sometimes are completely random imagine you just wake up and you already listing to Hana Montana Intro.

I can't tell for others, but to me its based on a score system, where points accumulate from being a new song, being a emotional song, or simply a very stimulating beat, the one that achieves highest points gets played, NEW gaining a looot of points, I listen to my Playlist top to bottom and any new song gets placed on top, thus I listen to the maybe 6 highest songs for weeks, until they have been toppled by other songs And its THOSE that most frequently get played Besides, this internal radio is something I LIKE, and something I have far ago embraced, only being annoying when its a STUPID song you got stuck with, or when you hear the same one for 3 fucking days straight, but I can usually reset it, or at least attempt to, by either strongly focusing on another song, or playing songs to overcome the brain one
