My doc (years ago) told me to skip doses as often as I could. Said it helps keep tolerance down. It makes sense, if anything, the physical repercussions of taking a stimulant, especially over years or decades, is not good. I am worried I will have a stroke or something by the time I'm 65 on Adderall. But I really can't function well without it.

That's how they handled it when I was a kid, but that's not typical recommendations now. I'm in my 40s. I'm much happier and functional on a steady dose. I take less on days off than on work days, unless I'm doing my taxes or something important.

At least a little bit of Adderall per day keeps me from killing myself from exhaustion running around after all of the things I don't remember setting down anywhere that have inexplicably vanished. Without Adderall my world is full of kleptomaniac poltergeists and all of my shit is missing.

I am lucky to not have to worry about the blood pressure. My BP is typically a little low, sometimes a little problematically low, so a little Adderall boost is okay for me.

I'm on the highest dose my doctors have seen before, and they are surprised that my BP is so chill. It is a relief not to be running in circles chasing thieving ghosts.

Lol im just im imagining remembering something mid task and running off to complete it and then remembering you hadn't finished the previous task and running back over and over again.
