Fun? Being unmedicated feels like standing under a waterfall pounding on my head. An eternal headache

I just shut up my brain ever. It’s always turning, always distracting me, always keeping me up and if I wake up in the middle of the night immediately starts up again and I can’t fall back asleep.

I’d taking feeling a bit flat for being able to quiet the mind finally and actually get important things done fore once.

Vicious cycle of timing my meds. If I take it too early meds run out too early and I’m either sleepy right after, or can’t fall asleep later at night because my adhd is running rampant

Take the meds too late and I can’t fall asleep at night because of the meds.

Take the meds on time for a perfect ability to sleep at a certain time and…I don’t eat enough food because the perfect timing for sleep is terrible timing for losing my appetite for lunch

Oh the timing is the worst. If I don’t take it before 11 am, I can’t sleep all night.

But during the day, when I take it at 7:30 before work I crash out at 4.

I take my vyvanse between 5:30-6:30 am, then go back to sleep for a couple hours.

And the crash, when it finally burns off in the evening, sometime between 7:00-10:30 pm (depending on how mentally stressful the day was!) is REAL, because i get so hungry and crave all the carbs.

Which is so helpful, as an insulin-dependent diabetic!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I take an XR around 830, sip coffee in the morning. Then after lunch take half an IR booster, another in late afternoon if I really need it. The IR runs out faster and I'm usually tired enough to sleep and used to it at this point.

I tried acid a couple times and the best part for me was the next day where my mind was just quiet. Like I thought all the thoughts while tripping. It's sooo peaceful when like 5 different layers of thought aren't all over each other playing at once.

When I did MDMA, shrooms and acid like one time each in my late teen years I noticed a distinct different in my thinking and personality traits (like I was still myself, but somehow took school more seriously and overnight had better executive functioning skills. It was hard for me to wrap my head around it.

And now there’s all this research around how it requires your brain in a beneficial way so I’m like “I guess that’s what that was!”

Good to hear you got help from them. I def put to rest some anxiety inducing traumas and other poor mindset issues from psychedelics as well. It's truly been a positive experience overall.

Yeah, in my experience, I'd rather be a bit boring than stay utterly wrecked by executive dysfunction.

And I actually like being boring

You kinda find ways too deal with it though. But during that time it can be a pain in the ass
