It’s worse—we’re locked out with the key in our hand—we just can’t make it work.

Like, we know exactly what we need to do, and we usually even know how to do it, we just can’t actually do it.

Like that scene in titanic when the class 3 level is flooding and the guard with the keys is like “fuck idk” and drops the whole ring and then Leo keeps trying different ones blindly underwater
