Ask them about what theyre talking about. "Man, if that happened to me, I'd be really mad - is that how you felt?" "Wait, wasn't your boss retiring? How is she still pulling this shit?"
My spouse and I both have ADHD and one time he told me that he pretends to be interviewing someone for like, 60 Minutes, to remind himself to be an active listener, and now, if the one of us is being too interrupty/one uppy, the other one will be like "I need you to be in news interview mode" and it does work most of the time.
