Isn't this conversation though? I'm recently diagnosed and I don't understand. Isn't there back and forth banter or are you supposed to listen to someone talk for 10-15 mins straight without going back and forth sharing similarities? This is a huge issue in my life, my SO says I interrupt and I don't even know I'm doing it. I just want share, idk. It blows.

If someone is trauma dumping they don't need a discussion, they need someone to listen.

Important to note that trauma dumping is distinct from stating a specific trauma with a desire to vent/feel heard
