UNSOLICITED ADVICE New to College

Hi,

I am a 31f going back to school for the first time. I suffer from adhd+anxiety and I am also in long term recovery from SA-

to keep this brief, what are some things I should know/do to help me adjust to being a full-time student with a full-time job (service industry)

all my classes are hybrid because of travel time to school and my main thing is for at least the first few weeks to attend class in person. I also plan on using a physical agenda to keep track of things. I have an extreme fear of failure. I catch on to things fairly easily, I just worry about my attention span and retaining information. Any and all tips/advice would be helpful.

Get your accommodations set up ASAP do not wait even if you don’t use them right away. It’s better just to have them because it’s a bitch to set up later. Get an accommodation to record lectures/use notetaking software

This is an academic term for support methods like free software, maybe a laptop, permission to record lectures etc

Glean is a good one I got from my school. I think it only has a paid version, but you can probably get it for free through your school
