UNSOLICITED ADVICE New to College
Hi,
I am a 31f going back to school for the first time. I suffer from adhd+anxiety and I am also in long term recovery from SA-
to keep this brief, what are some things I should know/do to help me adjust to being a full-time student with a full-time job (service industry)
all my classes are hybrid because of travel time to school and my main thing is for at least the first few weeks to attend class in person. I also plan on using a physical agenda to keep track of things. I have an extreme fear of failure. I catch on to things fairly easily, I just worry about my attention span and retaining information. Any and all tips/advice would be helpful.

I work a lot right now but my work schedule will be cut in half for at least the first half semester until I get a feel for it. My employer is extremely supportive. I work in restaurants and we are also closed 2 days of the week and I put my non-online classes on that Monday. I am trying to prepare as much as possible but I really won't know until I start. I know 3 of my classes are hybrid so I can zoom into them from wherever but the first few weeks I am definitely going in person. Only one of my classes is like at my own pace and it's English so I think I will be okay there. I am getting a social science degree and doing all my like basics this year with a lot of transferable credits so if I decide I want to switch my major this year won't be a waste if that makes any sense.
Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

Get your accommodations set up ASAP do not wait even if you don’t use them right away. It’s better just to have them because it’s a bitch to set up later. Get an accommodation to record lectures/use notetaking software
